Three Ways to Use CX Day to Build Organizational Support

Turn CX Day into an opportunity to celebrate progress, engage colleagues, and build support for customer experience.

If securing buy-in from peers and the executive team is among your top challenges, CX Day provides a timely opportunity to demonstrate the breadth and value of customer experience across your organization.

Celebrated this year on Tuesday, October 6, CX Day brings together professionals and organizations around the world to recognize customer experience as a professional role and business discipline.

Your celebration does not have to be elaborate. A focused message, employee activity, or external campaign can help colleagues better understand how CX contributes to better outcomes for customers, employees, and organizations.

Three Ways to Build Support Through CX Day

1. Share a Message From Your Executive Sponsor or CX Team

Prepare a message from your executive sponsor or CX team celebrating the breadth and value of your organization’s CX accomplishments over the past year.

Highlight the progress made, recognize the people who contributed, and connect the work to outcomes that matter to customers, employees, and the organization. This can help colleagues see CX as a shared organizational responsibility rather than the work of one team.

2. Plan an Employee Celebration

Thank employees and cross-functional partners for the role they play in shaping customer experiences.

Your celebration could include employee recognition, customer stories, a lunch-and-learn, a team discussion, or another activity that helps people understand how their work influences customer perceptions and outcomes.

3. Spotlight Your Customer Commitment

Create a social media campaign highlighting your organization’s commitment to customers and the people responsible for turning that commitment into action.

Consider sharing employee perspectives, customer insights, examples of measurable progress, or lessons your organization has learned through its CX work.

Use the conversations, recognition, and visibility generated by your celebration to strengthen relationships, invite greater participation, and build momentum for the work ahead.

Good CX delivers better outcomes for customers, employees, and organizations.
